Spa Thermowells, Thermistors, Fuses and Timers
- Spa Thermowells : A spa thermowell houses the temperature sensor and provides a conduit for the sensor to be mounted into the spa shell. Thermowell elbows also available.
- Spa Thermistors or temperature sensors : A hot tub thermistor is an electrical resistor whose resistance changes with temperature. Otherwise known as temperature sensors, they come in various lengths and either 3/8" or 1/4" versions.
- Spa Fuses - from 0.5 Amp glass fuses to 20 Amp ceramic fuses, we stock a wide variety of hot tub fuses. Contact ELM to find the correct fuses, fuse holders and mini breakers.
- Spa Timers : Mechanical timers allow for manual adjustment of filter cycles. Spa Timers regulate and limit the total number of hours the pump will run during a 24 hour cycle. ELM carries both 24 hour 120V and 7 Day mechanical timers.
Spa Transformers
Spa transformers convert the operating voltage of either 120V or 240V to a 12 volt supply for lights and other lower voltage devices. A variety of hot tub transformers are available, with or without connectors in 1.6A, 2A or 3.0A configurations.
Spa Contactors and Relays
The most common 30 Amp relays in spas come in either SPST (single pole single throw) or DPST (double pole single throw) configurations.
ELM offers spa contactors to the trade in either 120V 40/50Amp Double Pole or 240V 40/50 Amp Double Pole versions.
Spa Switches
ELM carries air switches, rocker switches and pressure switches.
Spa air switches are electrical pneumatic switches connected to the button by tubing. Pushing the button creates a small burst of air necessary for the air switch to function, which in turn activates a pump, light, blower or other spa component.

To determine the wire size needed for hot tub installation, include:
- wire gauge suggested by manufacturer
- how long the wire run is
- what the amperage of the spa and breaker are rated
- the cable quality and materials
Wiring gauge should be the same size from the main service panel to the service disconnect to the spa pack.
We carry various types of cables and cords, including J&J mini plugs and receptacles for the different spa pack connector types which include pump connections, circ pump connection, blower connections, ozone connector, light connector or other types of spa pack connections. ELM ships control cables, light cord and other AWG wire.
